I was going through a few of my old pics today and was reminded of Jimmy Clarks last race at Hochenhiem. I was at that race that day, standing not 100 feet from where his car ran out into the timber. As you can see, it was a cold and rainy day and very wet track.
It happened right on a curve, where I had been standing 5 minutes before. I moved as the cars where coming straight at me at 180 mph. It didn't look like a good spot to be as there is absolutely nothing between you and the cars. You could walk right onto the track.
I loved going to the races, but this was a sad day.

That whole story still saddens me. Especially every April.
One of the greats, if not the greatest! Left us way too soon.
