This season we would like to continue our support of the official Pro Mazda series To facilitate this, we are considering some changes to our scheduling format for the upcoming season and are looking for your input. In the past, we have followed the official Pro Mazda schedule with a 1 week delay. The thought behind this was to allow our members the opportunity to use the official races/practices to prepare for our next week's league racing. This season we would like to mirror the official schedule. The thought behind this is it will allow our members to use the league practices/races to prepare for the official series and have 2 "invasion" events. We will be sponsoring 2 Sunday evening practices open to all iRacing drivers for the upcoming week's venue. We will also be adding an additional hour of Pro Mazda practice and moving one of the K&N practices so it immediately precedes and is attached to the K&N race. We will continue our customary track/weather conditions of afternoon, partly cloudy, 68° F, 58% humidity, dynamic sky, and a 10% starting track state for our league practices and races
Our proposed weekly schedule will look like this: Sunday: Two 3 hour sessions practice sessions (iRacing conditions) Series open practice 15:00 EDT 18:00 GMT (3 hours)
Series open practice 19:00 EDT 22:00 GMT (3 hours) Monday: Pro Mazda invasion: 16:00 EDT League Pro Mazda practice: 15:00 EDT (4 hours) (courtesy John Morgan)
K&N practice: 16:00 EDT (1 hour) Tuesday: League Pro Mazda practice: 13:30 EDT (3 hours) K&N practice/race: 15:00 EDT (70 minutes practice, 5 minutes qualifying, 40 minutes race(attached) Wednesday: League Pro Mazda practice: 13:30 EDT (1 hour)(courtesy John Morgan) Pro Mazda league races 14:30 & 15:50 Thursday: Pro Mazda invasion: 16:00 EDT Friday: Fun race: time and cars to be determined We plan on keeping the Fun races, splitting the events between the Ferrari GT3 and Radical. Is there another car you would like to see us include in these races? We will consider a car which has a reasonable iRacing baseline (or iRacing track specific) setup, so we do not have to create car setups for these events.
Another question we have regards the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit. We have been substituting the Grand Prix circuit for the official circuit. Should we continue this substitution or races the longer circuit following the official series. (In the official series this track is slated for this season and next season) Lastly, should we continue to substitute an additional road circuit for the series oval race or race one oval track each season?
