Season 7 brought serious competition as the Driver Championship was decided by the results of the 12th and last event of the season, and as the Team Championship finally ended in a two place tie for the title.

The official Road Driver Championship was intensely disputed by the league’s top guns, and finally won by german driver Stephan Roesgen, his second title with the league. John Morgan and John Unsbee respectively earned the second and third steps of the podium.

The official Road Team Championship was an affair between 5 teams of 4 drivers each. The season title was shared by team Morgan and team Old Speed, leaving team OTTO on the last step of the podium.

T1 - Team MORGAN (M. Robertson, B. Kern, K. Dummer and B. Lawrence)
T1 - Team OLD SPEED (D. Fitterer, M. Grinnan, J. Freels and K. Baldwin)
3 - Team OTTO (J. Morgan, J. Martin, G. Florissen and R. Coulombe)

A separate driver standings was kept for our Super 70’s drivers (age 70 plus). A total of 11 drivers were part of this category, with John Unsbee, Manning Grinnan and Bruce Poole respectively earning the first three positions of the final standings.

Also, to satisfy the needs of some of our members who like to turn left only and to enjoy frequent rest periods (yellows), a short oval championship was held on 6 different circuits, with newcomer Wally Maulsby earning the top position, followed by Joel Martin and Mark Robertson respectively on the second and third step of the podium.

Congratulations to all our winners, and thanks to our organizers Joel Martin and Mark Lison.
Also hats down to all the league participants, who raced hard and clean, while keeping their composure and gracefully accepting their fellow drivers rare mistakes.
